Alleycat Layback

Fun! Make your way into the back of the hidden alley between the green room and the library. Climb the cobbles, layback the monster offwidth, and set up for a footless topout.

Campus Campus

Classic! Located on the ground floor of Governor's Hall. Climb up the cobbles, campus across the wide gap, and top out over the second floor railing on the right side.

Cellar Door

Drop down into the "cellar" area on the ground floor of Rhoades-Robinson. Stem around the door and top out onto the second floor terrace.

Difficulty

Cellar Layback

Layback the cement pillar directly left of the "cellar door." Top out onto the second-floor terrace. All cobbles are off-limits for hands!

Difficulty

Cellar Traverse

Pump city! Starting directly left of the glass doors, traverse all the way down the wall to the right. It's a solid 100 feet or more, so find some good rests!

The most fun you can have (legally) climbing in Asheville!

Dead Squirrel Arete

Climb the arete-like wall outside of the West Ridge laundry room. Enjoy the great friction, but watch out for the loose block at the top!

Difficulty

Dead Squirrel Chimney

On the staircase outside of the laundry room of West Ridge, chimney between the walls and gain a window ledge. Traverse left and top out over the balcony. Named for the dead squirrel found close by.

Ice House Window

Head down to the old abandoned icehouse on Riverside. Go around back and find the prominent open window just above a door (try to avoid stepping on syringes, barbed wire and dead corpses). Climb the dihedral crack, traverse left and top out through the window. To descend, either jump down or treat yourself to a route-finding nightmare as you try to navigate through the decrepit building.

Parkade Cables

While there are a dozen ways to climb the cables surrounding the West Ridge parking deck, this might be the most fun. Climb the cables, bust over the tiny roof, heel hook like yo mama taught ya, and don't fuck up or you'll be eating wood chips.

Difficulty

Parkade Chimney

There are a variety of ways to do this. The two best: 1. Chimney up the walls closest to the staircase, and then top out over the ladder bars, or 2. Layback the pipe and then stem into a chimney before topping out over the top of the deck (pictured).

Difficulty

Parkade Holes

Climb the Ridges parking deck using cable holes and good edges. Try not using the lamp for a little more fun!

Parkade Holes 2

More difficult than the original. Climb the cable holes until you can get into a tiny left sidepull, bump up this using good feet, and enjoy the awkward topout.

Rhoades-Robinson Rings

Fun and high! Climb the rings on the south side of Rhoades-Robinson and top out onto the roof. To descend, either downclimb or get one of the Atmospheric Science majors to let you in through the third-floor window.
