Ard, stubborn as ever. How about we kill guidos? And slightly more on topic, let's kill 'epic' unless we're describing heroic novels, oceans, or something else of equal grandeur. Of course, the problem with this entire thread is it's (now 2) disgruntled bitter old men who can't get hip with the new generation. That doesn't make me hate idiots any less though. Clearly we should fight them off by playing high-pitched sounds that only their young ears can hear! Then we can be alone to discuss the good ol' days when 'awesome' was used to describe something that made your jaw drop and not the new Taylor Swift song. Honestly though, I'd much rather just walk around with a paintball gun and wage a far more physical war.
Maybe next time I post I'll be slightly less rambling.

Nice. I just had this experience the other day. Was prowling the local elementary school when co-conspirators started barking like dogs. Of course, I heard nothing.
I try to reign-in the ¨awesomes¨, but it´s pretty much my a-bit-cooler-than-cool go to. (Surprisingly, cool remains timeless.) I realize my err, and am open to alternates.
You forgot to mention the ¨epic¨ usage in climbing, where some dumb fuck gets into something way over his head, ends up having to spend the night on a cliff unprepared, almost catching hypothermia, has someone rescue him, and later blogs to his friends that he ¨had an epic¨ on Mount GoFuckYourSelf. This use of epic, although perhaps closest to the word´s original meaning, is the worst of all.
I'm keeping this thread alive dammit.
