Urban Climber Magazine
Titties. Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin.
Urban Climber interviewed me for this month's magazine, but I'm in Germany for a month and haven't seen a copy. I have seen a lot of titties though. Not real ones sadly, but in magazines, TV, and billboards -- including this gem of an ad in Berlin. Germans certainly aren't ashamed of their mammary glands. And why should they be? Tis a beautiful thing.
The only things affordable here are beer and sausages, which I'm at peace with since I like both and it's the only two things that Germans do well. I spend every free moment in a pub founded in 1509 -- senselessly trying to make my existence matter to this ancient building. It's also bloody cold here, atypically so. Lakes and rivers that never freeze over are frozen, to the delight of the locals. They run out onto the ice in droves. One man died trying to save his dog who fell through the ice. (Heavy dog, light man?)
Anyway, go pick up a copy of the mag. And skate safe. We here at buildering.net promote brains and balls. Having only one will make your life either very boring or very short.

No no no, Ard.
The thing they they do best in Berlin, and which is dirt cheap, is the döner kebab, they say you haven't been to Berlin before you've had one (I had at least 20).
And cool about the interview, I'd pick up a copy og the mag, but right now I'm in Thailand, and won't be in a western country until april, will it be made available online?
Oh, and sicheres Reisen
Oh, and sicheres Reisen

If by "they" you mean the Turks. Ya, döners are everywhere. I'm jealous of your Thailand travels though. Definitely a better winter destination. Are you deep water soloing? I so want to do that there.
Oh and I think the interview will be put online after the issue is off the shelves.
Hehe, yeah I guess I meant
Hehe, yeah I guess I meant the Turks, I just remember kebabs was all I seemed to eat when I went there
I guess you've already been there by now, but if not, you MUST go to Tacheles before they close down, it was one of my favourite places in Berlin, even if it is not what it used to be supposedly.

I have not been deep water soloing here, in fact, I've barely climbed at all, didn't take to the limestone to much.
Have to admit I was hugely disappointed coming here after a month in Hampi, which was truly amazing.
So the last few days I've been spending my time with ping-pong shows and ladyboys, and am now sat in my hostel, about to leave for the airport, once the hangover subsides, to catch a plane to Hong Kong, I'm looking forward to getting on the granite again!
Ah, ping pong. Sweet, sweet
Ah, ping pong. Sweet, sweet mammaries. Er, memories. Anyway.
Ard, what the hell are you doing in Berlin? You're just down the road and you didn't tell me? Shame on you. Assume this is something work related?
Heh, since when is Berlin
Heh, since when is Berlin just down the road from London? All relative I suppose. Yes, all work related. Not a lot of free time. I'm at LHR on Feb 17th, getting in at 07:40, leaving at 13:00. Just about enough time to leave the airport and go do something. Anything interesting in the area?
Ha! At Heathrow? Fuck all
Ha! At Heathrow? Fuck all that I know of, fella. Observation gallery in terminal 2, I guess. And more shopping than you can wave a stick at. Enjoy.

Ard, postpone your flight
Ard, postpone your flight leaving out of London, and kiell and I will get you drunk and surround you with English boobies. Or we could climb somewhere...
Thoughts?
Mmm. Boobies.

Boobies. And buildering at
Boobies. And buildering at Pimlico...msg him Kiell, pronto pronto!
Tempting. I doubt work would
Tempting. I doubt work would spring for it though, unless stopping in London made my flight cheaper. Not likely, splitting one flight into two. Isn't it as bloody cold and miserable over there as it is here? It's been snowing for days.
Maybe your work can deduct
Maybe your work can deduct the cost of changing the flight out of LHR from your wages or something? It might be worth contacting the airline too, to see how much money/hassle it would be.
It's not as cold as the rest of Europe...for the moment at least.
Yeah, sorry guys. Back in Van
Yeah, sorry guys. Back in Van now. I kinda just wanted to get home. A month is a long time to be living in hotel rooms. I do want to get back to London though at some point, just for buildering. Maybe this summer.
A month? Weak sauce Ard, I'm
A month? Weak sauce Ard, I'm pushing three now and still have at least three to go
Is Vancouver close to Squamish?
All the Canadian guys I've met are raving about the place, and I'm considering finding a cheap flight there from Cali when I'm there in may or so.
