Flame war ends!
Flame wars, i.e. violent battles of verbal mud-slinging, usually end with no clear indication as to who comes out on top. However, in what may be an internet first, the Jalarmo vs. ArdArvin flame war of 2007 has come to a decisive close, with a clear winner emerging.
Yes, it is official: ArdArvin has been crowned the victor on account of Jalarmo’s disqualification for unethical conduct. Jalarmo’s blatent disregard for rule #231: “Thou shall not edit or delete any post after said post has been responded to” cost him the title, in an unexpected end to this bitter battle.
Jalarmo deleted a critical post, the famous “I wasn’t arguing… he was” post, which many stipulated was the turning point in flame war, giving ArdArvin a clear advantage.
When asked how he felt about this outcome, ArdArvin said “Well, it was clear from the start that Jalarmo was out-matched. I’m just sad that it had to end this way. I wish him the best of luck, and suggest he stick to topics he is more knowledgeable of in the future. You know…chopping wood, or whatever those non-tooth-bleaching banana-republic-hating homophobic rednecks are doing these days.”
In an online poll, 74.6% of the public thought ArdArvin was expected to win, to Jalarmo’s 25.4%.
Jalarmo was unavailable for comment.
