UBC Buildering Club?
The following is a correspondence between two UBC officials, of which I took the pleasure of responding to. All names have been changed to protect the identity of my source.
From: Bacone, Rachelle
To: Kyle MacMillon
Subject: Buildering Club?
Hi Kyle:
Can you tell me if there is such a group as a "Buildering" club ... I believe that they scale buildings, similar to rock climbing. Last year in the Spring, apparently they had an "end of year" event and scaled buildings around campus ... as you can guess, there are liability issues for both the AMS and the University ... and I would appreciate your help with trying to connect with these students.

Thank you for expressing interest in the UBC Buildering Club (est. 1952). Unfortunately our club roster is full at the moment, and we are no longer accepting membership applications. If you wish I can put your name on a waiting list and contact you as soon as a position becomes available.
In the meantime may I suggest you read The Freedom of the Hills, by The Mountaineers Club, A Cragrat's Guide to the UBC Campus, by D. Culbert, and Get Your War On, by David Rees. We have a hard time relating to executive square types, so if you are hoping to "connect" with us on any meaningful level, I suggest you do your homework.
