Buildering: Overseas Records Office, London 2003
I discovered this great chimney the first day I arrived in London. The building is called the Overseas Visitors Records Office, if that's not an inviting title I don't know what is. Plus it's right across from the hostel I was staying at, which allowed me to get a reasonably early alpine-start.
I found some random backpacker milling about in the hostel lobby and recruited him to take some photos. I wanted to make a sequence out of it, so I gave him specific framing instructions: have the entire climb in the picture, don't move the camera, and take about 5 or 6 shots. This is the result. A monkey could have followed better instructions.
PS: He shot my entire 36 exposure roll of Fuji Velvia.
